2018 Summit Registration

The Annual Youth Leadership Summit is a day-long opportunity for peer-led education, networking and connecting in order to further the safer schools movement via school- and community-based GSAs and youth groups. The Illinois Safe Schools Alliance Youth Committee develops and facilitates workshops for GSA youth leaders throughout the state and plans supplemental programming via community partners for a day of fun and educational movement building! Topics include launching the Alliance’s Know Your Rights materials and planning for #GSADay4RacialJustice (in February) and Day of Silence and Night of Noise (in April).

Who should attend? Any middle or high school student involved in playing a leadership role in their GSA! Or any adult ally who acts as advisor/sponsor in these spaces!

When is it? Saturday, 1/20/18! 10:00-6:00!

Where is it? DeKalb High School, thanks to the generosity of the DeKalb HS GSA!
